Caroline Hume joins the Association of Women in Property

Caroline Hume of our Milton Keynes office has recently joined the Association of Women in Property; the Association was set up to raise the profile of female property professionals working in the predominately male industries of construction and property. It provides a forum for discussion and information in order to ensure its members are kept up-to-date with legislative changes and new practice developments. To find out more about the Association of Women in Property log onto www.wipnet.org.

WIP run regular branch events and Caroline as a member of the South Midlands branch attend the most recent of these on Thursday 19th March. The topic of the seminar was Business Rates and the speaker was Graham Heilbuth of Lambert Smith Hampton (www.lsh.co.uk). Graham provided useful information as to the calculation of Business Rates, the rateable values of properties and numerous tips and hints on how to minimise Business Rates liability. He explained the mechanics of the various reliefs available and Caroline is now well placed to assist Neves clients in this complex and often costly area of practice.
