Two years ago, Neves’ Partner and Head of Commercial Property Department Simeon Clipstone posted news of his scouting trip to Switzerland. Simeon has just returned from a similar trip taking eighteen scouts along with other leaders to the West Highlands of Scotland.
Simeon commented, “Having been on a good few camps over the last six years or so I can honestly say that this was both the best but also the most challenging of camps to date. In addition to the usual scouting activities such as high wires, archery and rafting, our group of young people (and adults) were given the opportunity to take part in sailing (where we saw seals and porpoise following our boats), rock climbing and even a “Burn Run,” which involved putting on a wet suit, safety helmet and buoyancy aid and then immersing yourself in freezing cold water in the river gorge whilst trying to climb up the rapids and falls.
Plans are already afoot for the 2012 camp!”
