Neves is pleased to support all its staff in gaining additional qualifications and expertise. This year Rebecca Frost a secretary in the Conveyancing and Commercial Conveyancing departments, decided to study for a Certificate in Business Management as she wanted to do some further studying to gain greater knowledge and expertise in the office environment.
She says:
"The course incorporated a wide variety of subjects from contracts of employment, disciplinary management, time management techniques and stress and relaxation techniques (which can be very useful!). The course material also covered equal opportunities and all legal aspects of employment.
The course has helped me to prioritise work loads, realise personal and business objectives whilst providing me with a more in depth knowledge of the business world.
I thoroughly enjoyed working through the course and found it easy to motivate myself as the course was interesting and applicable to every aspect of working life.
I hope to start something else in the New Year but for the time being, I am having a rest!"
Rebecca is one of many staff who has undergone training to improve their skills and enhance the service we can offer to our clients. Currently, three secretaries (Rachel Harrison and Amrita Singh, Luton office/Matrimonial and Lisa Matthews (Commercial/Milton Keynes)) are undertaking the Institute of Legal Executives’ course, Carly Inskip, conveyancing assistant in Milton Keynes, is training to be a licensed conveyancer and Amrita is also is undertaking a BA Honours in Business Administration (whilst also studying for ILEX).
When you call Neves you can be confident that when they speak to support staff you will generally be speaking to a secretary who has worked for the firm for many years and knows your business and who may well have enhanced his or her knowledge of our business by undertaking additional training.
