Parenting After Parting - Update

As mentioned elsewhere on this website Mary and Beth recently attended a meeting which was addressed by members of Bedfordshire Relate. Relate are currently working with Resolution (formally the Solicitor’s Family Law Association) in developing services for parents with children post separation. One such service is Parenting after Parting. Currently this service is offered in Milton Keynes (also in Cambridge and London) although there are plan to extend it to Luton and Bedford.
 
Beth, who is based in Neves’ Milton Keynes Office, has referred a number of clients to the Parenting after Parting service and has heard some very positive reports on the support given to families. There is a course of four sessions focusing on the needs of children following their parents’ separation.
 
Information sessions are four hours long in total but can be delivered in 2 sessions of two hours duration. They cost £92 including VAT. Booking can be made via Relate at appointment@relate.mk.org or by telephone at 01908 310010.

Details of workshops in other parts of the country are available on the Resolution website mentioned above where you will also find abundant information about managing relationship breakup and helping yourself and your children through a separation.
  
Nationally Resolution report that parents who have attended these courses have found them immensely useful and they have led to the forming of new friendships from support groups.
