Ian Simpson Attends Wealth Management Seminar

Ian Simpson - Head of Private Client recently attended a seminar on wealth management hosted by Hillier Hopkins, Accountants. There was an interesting an informative talk by David Salisbury the basic theme of which was "don't try to beat the market" rather the policy should be to maintain a widespread diversified port folio which should not be churned on a regular basis.

Hillier Hopkins had chosen an interesting and novel venue namely the Cabinet War Rooms beneath the Treasury Building in London. This gave all of us an opportunity to be shown round the Cabinet War Rooms and also to visit the Winston Churchill Museum. The Cabinet War Rooms had remained mothballed from end the Second World War up to their re-opening in the '70s by Lady Thatcher. Both are certainly worth a visit.
